20th Sarajevo FF - Film Review

So far I saw 3 great movies. So here they are:

One of them was STREAM OF LOVE (BUJICA LJUBAVI)

Film directed by Agnés Sós, very emphatic young woman who goes with her camera to Hungarian part of Romania to seek ordinary elder people living in villages. They speak very spontaneously on camera about love in their lifes, about their desire even they are 60, 70, 80 years, they have still strong appetite for opposite sex.

Agnés Sós is very sympathic lady who came to Sarajevo film festival with her family because she loves Sarajevo so much as she told me on one Sarajevo sightseeing tour.

next film I saw here is KISMET
- director: Nina Maria Paschalidou

Kismet is a great insight to how turkish soap operas influence muslim women all over the Globe. There are interview with women from Marocco, Greek, UAE, Bulgaria. Women speak openly how turkish soap operas influenced or change their life. Turkey is considered as a modern country for muslim women and in soap operas women fight for their rights, they ask for their proper place among men, they make their own decision, this all is very far from daily reality from muslim women in other part of world. Some women says they feel more courageous to step out and change their lifes according these turkish soap operas, thats why in some countries like Iran, turkish soap operas are strictly forbidden. This documentary also consists the most valuable interview with actors of Thousands and One nights and TV series The magnificent Century such as famous turkish actor Halit Ergenс.

the third film I saw so far is Japanese LOVE HOTEL directed by Philip Cox and Hikaru Toda in 2014.

With this film we can get inside, really inside of Love Hotel in Japan. Hotel quests speak openly why they came into Love Hotel, they are retired couples who wants to try something out of day to day reality, there are masochists enjoying bondage, young couple of gays show up with their feelings and even with their secrets on the camera...They are non-faken sex scene and all is very natural. It shows to spectators that visitors of Love Hotel are coming to from various reason, it can be understand as a journey because it is quite extraordinary experience for some of visitors.

The cameraman and its crew was keep on filming even when all Love Hotels in Osaka were pushed to close due conservative government. Film follows personal stories of visitors and stuff of Love Hotel after they all are being closed.
